confirming new lines can be seen both in notification and in messaging
app; while spaces at the beginning of a line can only be seen in the
notification but are cut in the messaging app. However, spaces are shown
in the index of messages (i.e. only in the conversation are not shown)

Bug description:
  It seems that newlines in messages are sent and received, but they are
  not shown in the messaging-app (I would expect that they would be
  shown). However, the newline is shown in the notification bubble (see
  attached screenshot) and in the Notification center.

  OS: Ubuntu 14.10 (r203)
