It's definitely not perfect yet, we know. And we know the main reasons for that: * Unity8 bug 1564721, bug 1384374 and bug 1494795 * Input events at 59Hz but the E4.5 display is 67Hz. These issues are being worked on.
This bug however is about a regression of OTA-10 vs OTA-9 and I have confirmed OTA-11 gets us back to the level of smoothness (admittedly still not good enough) that we had in OTA-9. So this bug is closed, but we have a lot of improvement to make yet. Test case 1: Scroll the dash smoothly with a finger. Expected: Dash scrolls smoothly. Observed: Dash often jumps abruptly. Test case 2: Pull down/up the notification bar quickly with a finger. Expected: It closely matches the finger position. Observed: It's a long way behind. These issues are so familiar, it's rather obviously a regression of bug 1486341. And I can see the required QML_NO_TOUCH_COMPRESSION=1 has gone missing too. $ system-image-cli -i current build number: 387 device name: mako channel: ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/ubuntu last update: 2016-03-14 06:38:12 version version: 387 version ubuntu: 20160312 version device: 20160304.2 version custom: 20160312 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1556763/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
