Hi, I know its been quite some time on this bug, but I'm cleaning up old ntp bugs atm to get a better view.
The option has been there all the time in ntpdate. Over all the time it did never become more than a wishlist and nobody else ever asked for it. Since the switch to systemd default timekeeping is also no more in ntpdates hand by default. That said I'll set the bug to incomplete expecting that nobody "cares" about it anymore. That way it can time out - if you really think it is worth to be pursued, please set it to new again and provide some more reasoning why it should be changed. ** Changed in: ntp (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to ntp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/301508 Title: Wish: add "-u" option to /etc/default/ntpdate Status in ntp package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: ntpdate The "-u" option is useful with firewall, I think.
