@we can live without the synchronization... This was the suggestion to roll back the use of the sync extensions on mali. The current plan is to see how far we can get with hybris before OTA-11, and if we can't fix the performance in time, we'll roll back the sync extensions.
The synchronization should be lightweight, and it should be done even with hardware clients.
