Public bug reported: Please turn off vibrate on touch/typing by default. It makes the phone feel much more laggy than it really is, which is bad for making a first impression on users.
The reason I think is because the vibration mechanism runs for hundreds of milliseconds. Whereas visual and aural feedback is in the order of tens of milliseconds. So vibration feedback makes the phone feel much more laggy. Please turn it off by default. ** Affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: performance ** Also affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Please turn off vibrate on touch/typing by default.
