Public bug reported: After going through the new wizard, the user's "RealName" setting is still "Ubuntu" (the default).
This is because usermod (used by AccountsService in the background) chokes on read-only /etc. It needs to be modified to handle that gracefully. If you have a writable device image, you won't see this bug, which is how it escaped into the wild. :( ** Affects: shadow (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: shadow (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1562872 Title: Welcome wizard does not successfully set name Status in shadow package in Ubuntu: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After going through the new wizard, the user's "RealName" setting is still "Ubuntu" (the default).
