You are seeing the effects of os-prober checking for on disk
installations of other OSes at boot loader configuration time. This is
expected behavior.

System appears to try to mount individual ZFS disks when part of zpool
Status in os-prober package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
dmesg shows attempts to mount disks that are part of zpools individually. The
main part is already mounted as part of the pool. It seems to be trying to
mount the reserved partitions.
I am unsure what package this should belong to. mountall looked to be the
most accurate but it could be completely wrong.
