I can reliably reproduce the issue. And I can make it go away by typing
something in the text area and then long pressing on that text: the
"tooltip" is then populated with "Select All", "Cut" and "Copy" buttons.

"Select All" should always be available, so it’s probably a bug
somewhere in oxide.
