Using Ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS and the gnome-flashback-session, I have an indicator 
applet in the top panel.
'About' says version 12.10.1.
Clicking on the time text gives me a popup calendar showing the date and the 
current month.

So far so good.

However today the date is correctly saying Wednesday, 27 August 2014,
but the small icon to the left of this text is showing '28' !

I'm not able to take a screen shot of the popup calendar.

apt-cache policy indicator-applet says
