No sound in anything

Bug description:
I cannot hear any sound on my Dell Inspiron 15R. I downloaded a few
updates recently, but nothing major. Sound worked a few days ago,
although to be honest, I can't remember how recently I last used
anything related to sound on the machine. Sound works fine in Windows
7 on the same machine.
