I think I might have had the issue you described (crash when clearing hhistory from new tab view) I just assumed that clearing the history would close all tabs instead of realizing it was a crash. If I clear the history from a normal tab it does work. If it's still of any use to you, i'm running ubuntu 15.04 (OTA-8) on a bq Aquaris E5
