** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1268036 Can't move cursor to the end of an overflowing text field -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to address-book-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1268971 Title: Difficult to edit long names Status in address-book-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I was trying to workaround bug #1122584 (receiving empty message from '129' when using tmobile) and so I created a new contact for the '129' number with a descriptive string rather than a name. I used: First name: TMobile Last name: Visual Voicemail (not implemented) Because of bug #1268965, the above 'name' is rather unsightly in the Call log of the dialer, so I wanted to edit it. I went into the Contacts app, selected the contact, pressed 'Edit' and then see what is in the attached screenshot. I can click in the Last name field, but I don't have a way to get to the beginning of the text field without deleting portions of the last name (ie, there are no directional keys on the keyboard, 'Home', 'End', etc and swiping doesn't work either). This is easily worked around by deleting text, but the user experience could be better.
