Taglib 1.10 fixes this bug and a lot of other real life crashers. Imho it is worth to put a 1.10 to the default update repositories. This will improve stability of almost all media players.
At Mixxx, we are considering to provide Taglib 1.10 via the app ppa in a same way like Ilya does.
