*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1433320 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1433320
Right, there's no sign of the watchdog message in the journal (unless you reported the bug after rebooting the VM). In this case I'm out of ideas... We can't detect the situation in apport, and it's not a systemd bug either as these are merely consequences of the long kernel hangs, not the causes. Upstream bumped the watchdog timeouts from 1 min to 3 mins which should make these situations at lot less likely, but ultimately this is just patching up symptoms.. ** Summary changed: - systemd-journald crashed with SIGABRT in __epoll_wait_nocancel() + systemd-journald, udev, logind crashed with SIGABRT -- get killed by 1 min watchdog timeout on longer kernel lockups ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: High => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1504167 Title: systemd-journald, udev, logind crashed with SIGABRT -- get killed by 1 min watchdog timeout on longer kernel lockups Status in systemd package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The fix of bug 1433320 seems not to work for me.
