This does not happen when using a Windows XP installation on the same laptop with the same monitor and with the same D-Sub cable. I've tried to install the fglrx driver, but there seems to be none available for this card either on the AMD website nor on the additional drivers repository of lubuntu. Installing the fglrx driver, the card was never recognised. The command "sudo amdconfig --initial" returns the error message: "amdconfig: No supported adapters detected".
