I have noticed that the behaviour of the battery indicator got much more predictable over a period of continued use of my MX4. However, I believe this is more likely caused by my battery capacity degrading (which is normal for Li ion). It looks as if the battery indicator has an explicit problem with very new batteries? This is just a guess, we need a developer to have a look into this problem.
