I only got this the first time through, i could not - reproduce. + focused. Phone got hot, so i ran top and noticed camera never reduced + (actually it's camera-service). Opening spread and quiting app was the + only way to get stop camera-app hogging cpu. I only got this the first + time through, i could not reproduce. Also I noticed the camera app was not "black" in the spread but showed a last image (tbh, unsure if it was on photoroll...but i thot i went back to viewfinder mode) I also notice, from playing around that camera cpu is ~50% just on photoroll...not doing anything, just let the phone idle on photoviewer and the cpu use remains pretty high (user could easily drain their battery) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to camera-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1496081 Title: camera app consuming 30-40% cpu including when unfocused Status in Canonical System Image: New Status in camera-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: current build number: 113 device name: arale channel: ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/meizu.en last update: 2015-09-15 17:18:23 version version: 113 version ubuntu: 20150915 version device: 20150818-0b38025 version custom: 20150814-887-8-46 this was a fresh flash of the image, i opened a bunch of apps, took a picture with camera app, dimissed the "photo roll" tutorial page, took another photo, brought some other app forward so camera app was not focused.
