The new release as you said is almost all incorporating the patches, this is why should be harmless to merge. A good reason for a merge is that we reduce a lot the debian delta, moreover there are two or three fixes in the debian packaging that might be useful to cherry-pick (restart services for example).
But I think we can merge after utopic, it is up to you ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to openssl in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1354110 Title: please merge openssl from debian Status in “openssl” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: debdiff attached To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1354110/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
