It just stops and hangs indefinitely at about 50% progress though. I've inspected pstree, and the offending command line seems to be: /usr/bin/python /usr/share/system-config-printer/install- printerdriver.py epson-inkjet-printer-escpr deb http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/op/stable/debian/ lsb3.2 main E5220FB7014D0FBDA50DFC2BE5E86C008AA65D56 Running it from the command line outputs the following two lines: Signature key supplied pk.install_signature .. and then it hangs as well. I've attached an strace -f of the above command. The trace doesn't actually end (the process hangs as before), but does stop outputting new system calls.
