(LP: #657838) - recommends ubuntu-netbook-default-settings and not ubuntu-netbook-unity-defaut-settings Test case: be on an UNE install with lucid, try to update to maverick with maverick-proposed pocket enabled. On reboot, you should have unity installed in the UNE session. ----------- After upgrading from 10.04 UNE to 10.10, Unity is not loaded. All that I can see is the wallpaper, no icons, no interface. I just can shut down by pressing power button. I start Unity from the gdm-login via the session selector. If I choose the desktop version, it works. If I choose the Netbook 2D version, it works. To solve my problem, I have started a desktop version and tape : sudo apt-install unity Now, it works really as it should. I think this is the same as bug 644899 and bug 628828 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/657838/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
