This issue affects me as well. Setting IPv4 to Disabled, IPv6 to Ignore, and clicking Save... gives the error, "The property 'NMSettingIP6Config' / 'method' is invalid: 1". Ubuntu 14.04 (amd64) with network-manager version 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu7.

To reproduce: (1) In nm-connection-editor, create a new connection of type 'Ethernet'. (2) In "IPv4 settings", set Method to "Disabled" (3) In "IPv6 settings", set Method to "Ignore". (4) Hit "Save" (5) Click on newly-created connection and hit "Edit". Look at the IPv6 tab What I expected to happen: The Method is set to Ignore. What happened instead: The Method is set to Automatic. Follow up: (6) set Method to "Ignore" (7) Hit "Save". Observe error message: The property 'NMSettingIP6Config' / 'method' is invalid: 1 (8) Try to repeat same operation with kde-nm-connection-editor. This editor will silently ignore any errors which disable both connections.
