This is practically a haiku. Best bug report I've seen in ages. Popey, just to be clear, you're saying this is the same event going off thrice at the same time (or nearly the same time)? Does the same event show up N times in the indicator as well or when you open up ubuntu- clock-app, or is the multiplicity only in the notifications?
