It depends what you mean by "secure", but Tor Browser includes many protections to avoid leaking private informations and make all browsers look the same, which you will be missing if you use a standard browser through Tor: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser/design/ It's also unclear why you want to connect to an HTTP proxy through Tor and what you are trying to solve by doing that.
