*Mar*Sure! Here’s an *original short drama* inspired by the same theme
— *procrastination,
courage, and responsibility.*

It’s written in a simple, stage-friendly format so it can be performed by
students or adapted for reading.
------------------------------
🎭 *Title: “Tomorrow Never Comes”*

*Theme:* Procrastination — the fear to face problems
*Setting:* A college classroom and later a dream sequence
*Characters:*

   -

*Arjun* – a bright but lazy student, always postponing work
   -

*Meera* – his sincere classmate and friend
   -

*Professor Rao* – wise and strict teacher
   -

*Voice of Conscience (Jekyll)* – Arjun’s inner self that wants to act
   -

*Voice of Excuse (Hyde)* – Arjun’s lazy self that wants to postpone
   everything

------------------------------
*Scene 1: The Classroom*

*(Professor Rao enters. Students are chatting. Arjun sits with his phone,
ignoring his unfinished project.)*

*Professor Rao:* (sternly) Arjun! Have you completed the report on social
behavior?

*Arjun:* (smiling lazily) Almost done, sir. I’ll submit it tomorrow.

*Meera:* (whispering) You said that yesterday too, Arjun.

*Professor Rao:* (sighs) Tomorrow, tomorrow! The most dangerous word in the
dictionary. Remember, Arjun, time punishes those who waste it.

*(Bell rings. Professor exits. Arjun leans back in his chair.)*

*Arjun:* I’ll do it tonight. For sure.

*Meera:* You always say that. What are you afraid of?

*Arjun:* (shrugs) I’m not afraid. I just need the *right mood.*
------------------------------
*Scene 2: The Dream*

*(Lights dim. A strange sound. Arjun falls asleep at his desk. Two voices
echo — one calm and one mocking.)*

*Jekyll (Conscience):* Arjun, wake up! Finish what you started.

*Hyde (Excuse):* Why bother? It’s just one report. You can do it *tomorrow.*

*Jekyll:* Tomorrow is a lie you tell yourself. Each delay digs your own pit.

*Hyde:* Nonsense! The world will wait. People talk, not act. Be like them —
safe, comfortable.

*Arjun:* (confused) Who are you?

*Jekyll:* I’m the part of you that *wants to do.*

*Hyde:* And I’m the part that *knows how to avoid.* You need me. Without
me, you’d be stressed all the time!

*Jekyll:* (firmly) No. Without *you*, he’d be free.

*(They circle around Arjun. The clock ticks louder and louder.)*

*Clock (voice-over):* Tick… tock… tomorrow never comes…

*(Arjun covers his ears and screams.)*

*Arjun:* Stop! I can’t live like this anymore. I’ll do it — *now!*

*(Hyde fades away. Jekyll nods approvingly. Lights brighten.)*
------------------------------
*Scene 3: The Next Morning*

*(Arjun wakes up with the sunrise. He rushes to his desk, opens his laptop,
and begins to type furiously. Meera enters.)*

*Meera:* You’re up early! What happened?

*Arjun:* (smiling) I had a meeting with myself — and I finally won.

*(Professor Rao enters later.)*

*Professor Rao:* Well, Arjun?

*Arjun:* (hands over report) Not perfect, sir. But done.

*Professor Rao:* (smiling) That’s perfection enough. Work done is always
better than work delayed.

*(They all look at the clock. It ticks softly — peaceful now.)*
------------------------------
*Moral (Spoken by Meera to the audience):*

“Procrastination is a dream that never wakes. Courage means doing the work
*now*. Because every time we wait for tomorrow — we lose today.”
------------------------------

Would you like me to make this drama *shorter for a 5-minute school play*
or *expand it into a full 3-act version* with more characters and scenes?
