BJP Slams Congress for Mocking PM Modi's Late Father

Since the Hindenburg report with allegations against the Adani group came
to light, the Congress Party has targeted the alleged proximity of Modi
with billionaire Gautam Adani.

India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lashed out at the main
opposition Congress Party on Monday after its spokesman Pawan Khera mocked
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late father Narendra Damodardas Modi during
a press conference.

Speaking about the opposition’s demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee
(JPC) to probe the ongoing Adani-Hindenburg row, the Congress spokesman
called Prime Minister Modi “Narendra Gautam Das Modi”.

"What problem does Narendra Gautam Das Modi has?" Khera said, before
adding, "Is it Gautam Das or Damodar Das?"

Reacting to Khera's remark, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya said it's not the
first time that the Congress Party has targeted the prime minister's family.

"They have still not been able to accept that somebody from a humble
background has risen to be such a popular leader. The Gandhis encourage
these kinds of elements in the party."

In response, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed that the Congress
spokesman made his comments to pacify “one family”.

Polls Reveal No Dent to Modi’s Popularity Despite Adani Controversy: Report

In his tweet in Hindi, Patra said: “After worshiping ‘one family’ (the
Gandhis) for a lifetime, it looks some shortcoming remained to prove one's
devotion (from Congress Party). Therefore, to complete it, they used
indecent language for Prime Minister Modi and his late father at the behest
of that ‘family’. It just reflects the actual demeanor, character, and face
of Congress.”

Hardik Patel, who recently switched sides from Congress to the BJP, also
slammed Congress in a tweet in Hindi: “Congress is not able to digest the
fact that the son of a poor family became the Prime Minister. So, it is
repeatedly making personal attacks on Narendra Modi. Using derogatory words
for his late father who had nothing to do with politics shows the fury and
character of the Congress.”

2 CONG ALLEGES THAT SONIA WAS INSULTED SO THEY WILL INSULT PARENTS
OF MODI; CORRECT EQUAATION? IS THERE ANY FALLACY IN BJP VERSION? SHE WAS
ITALIAN BUT CLAIMED INDIAN STATUS ALSO; LATER WHEN BJP BLOWN THE CONCH
TURNED A NEW LEAF EVEN THEN, DATE OF ELECTROL ENROLLEMENT WENT FEW MONTHS
AHEAD OF GRANTING ONLY INDIAN STATUS. READ BELOW:

The BJP has made an explosive allegation that Sonia Gandhi was registered
as a voter in 1980, three years before she became an Indian citizen and
while still holding Italian citizenship. That is not all. The BJP's Amit
Malviya has claimed that following a public outcry, Sonia Gandhi's name was
deleted from the voter list in 1982, only to be added later in January,
1983. This time again, the registration was done months before she was
granted citizenship in April, 1983, says Malviya.

"Sonia Gandhi’s tryst with India’s voters’ list is riddled with glaring
violations of electoral law. This perhaps explains Rahul Gandhi’s fondness
for regularising ineligible and illegal voters, and his opposition to the
Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Her name first appeared on the rolls in
1980 — three years before she became an Indian citizen and while she still
held Italian citizenship," Malviya tweeted.

"At the time, the Gandhi family lived at 1, Safdarjung Road, the official
residence of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Until then, the voters
registered at that address were Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi,
and Maneka Gandhi. In 1980, the electoral rolls of the New Delhi
parliamentary constituency were revised with January 1, 1980, as the
qualifying date.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday slammed the Congress after its
Bihar unit posted an AI-generated video featuring Prime Minister Narendra
Modi and his late mother, saying the party had turned “GAALIWADI instead of
Gandhiwadi.”

Shehzad Poonawala, the BJP’s national spokesperson, said the Congress is
far from showing remorse for abusing the Prime Minister’s mother, alleging
that the party not only justified and defended the act but has now crossed
all limits with the video.

“Far from having remorse for abusing PM’s Mother. Congress not only
justified defended the accused with lies. Tariq Anwar too defended. And now
Bihar Congress crossed all limits with a disgusting video,” Poonawala wrote
on X.

“This party has become GAALIWADI instead of Gandhiwadi. Mahila aur Maatru
shakti ka apman is Congress ki pehchaan. Shameful. Abuse Bihar as Bidi and
abuse a person no long with us,” he added.

Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore said those frustrated in politics
often resort to “cheap tactics.” Speaking to ANI, he called the video
“highly condemnable” and accused Congress of resorting to indecent means
after losing political dominance.

“Sometimes they use indecent words in the name of (PM Modi’s) mother.
Congress has done mimicry by uploading this video on its state handle, and
this is highly condemnable. In politics, when someone gets disappointed or
frustrated, they resort to cheap tactics. Whatever condemnable acts
Congress has done, society will also condemn them and teach them a lesson,”
Rathore said.

The AI-generated video shows PM Modi dreaming about his late mother,
Heeraben Modi, who criticises him over his politics. BJP national
spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said the Congress was crossing limits and
attacking the dignity of mothers.

“On the instruction of Rahul Gandhi, Congress party has mocked Honorable PM
Narendra Modi’s late mother. Few days back Congress had abused PM Narendra
Modi’s late mother. Congress’s 'Shahi Parivar' is insulting mothers and
sisters of Bharat. It's not just insensitive, it's sickening to see a party
hate the poor of India so much,” Bhandari posted on X.

The controversy follows a recent incident in Bihar where alleged abuses
were hurled at PM Modi and his mother during a ‘Voter Adhikaar Rally’ in
Darbhanga.

Prime Minister Modi himself addressed the issue, calling the abuse of his
mother an insult to all mothers, sisters, and daughters of the country.

Should we still vote Cong and allies?
