When Chhattisgarh was burning in Naxal violence and innocent villagers were being killed, the government took an important step. In all the villages where there was Naxal terror, a Gramin Raksha Dal was formed which was also provided with guns and the youth were also given training. This had a positive impact. The villagers started fighting the Naxalites and started retaliating to the attacks. Naxals started getting killed by both the police and the villagers. The name of this Gramin Raksha Dal was Salwa Judum. But how could the urban Naxalites sit quiet? They filed a petition in the Supreme Court. A judge with extreme leftist ideology immediately gave the verdict that Salwa Judum was unconstitutional and banned it. After that the Naxalites created such a ruckus that the entire Bastar district was drenched in blood. The same judge, on Prashant Bhushan's petition, ordered the government to cancel the exemption given to children of martyred soldiers in admission to Armed Forces Medical College because soldiers get salary in return for the service they render. And when this judge sahab retired, he was made the chairman of Telangana Caste Census Committee, which recommended that the Muslim community should get the facilities of backward castes.
