பசுக்களுக்கு பழங்களும், கீரைகளும் பொதுவாகவே கொடுப்பது நல்லதாகும். மேலும் பசு மகாலக்ஷ்மியின் அம்சமாக கருதப்படுவதால், பசுவிற்கு உணவு தானமாக வழங்கப்படுவது அதிர்ஷ்டத்தை தரும் என்றும் நம்பப்படுகிறது.
பசுவிற்கு அகத்திக்கீரையை தானமாக வழங்கும்போது வீட்டில் நீண்ட நாளாக தடைப்பட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கும் அனைத்து விஷேசங்களும் விரைவில் நடைபெறும். நாம் தெரிந்தோ அல்லது தெரியாமலோ செய்த பாவங்கள் அனைத்தும் நிவர்த்தியாகும் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது. பிரமஹத்தி தோஷமே சரியாகும் பசுவிற்கு அகத்திக் கீரையை கொடுக்கும்போது என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது. நம் மூன்னோர்களுக்கு தர்ப்பணம் செய்யாமல் விட்ட பாவம் கூட பசுவிற்கு 16 அகத்திக்கீரையை கொடுக்கும் போது நீங்குமாம். பசுவை ஒருமுறை பிரதக்ஷணம் செய்தால் பூலோகம் முழுவதும் பிரதக்ஷணம் செய்ததற்கான பலன் கிடைக்கிறது என்று சாஸ்திரம் கூறுகிறது. பசுவை பூஜிப்பது பிரம்மா, விஷ்ணு, சிவன் ஆகியோரை பூஜித்த புண்ணியம் நமக்கு கிடைக்கும். பசுவிற்கு புல் கொடுத்தாலோ அல்லது கழுத்தில் தடவிக்கொடுத்தாலோ கோடி புண்ணியம் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது. பசு நடக்கும்போது ஏற்படும் புழுதி நம் மீது படுவது கூட புண்ணியமாக கருதப்படுகிறது. பசுவின் கால் பட்ட மண்ணைத்தான் தசரத சக்ரவர்த்தி, ரகு சக்ரவர்த்தி பூசிக்கொண்டார்களாம். பசு ‘அம்மா’ என்று அழைப்பது அந்த இடத்தில் மங்கள ஒலியை உருவாக்குகிறது. பசு இருக்கும் இடத்திற்கு பக்கத்திலிருந்து செய்யப்படும் பூஜையால் அதிக பலன்கள் கிடைக்கும். சாதாரண மனிதர்கள் கண்களுக்கு தெரியாத எமதூதர்கள், எமன் போன்றோர் பசுமாட்டின் கண்களுக்கு தெரியுமாம். அதனாலேயே யாராவது இறக்க போகிறார்கள் என்றால் பசுமாடு ரொம்பவே சத்தம் போடுமாம். அகத்திக்கீரையை முனிவிருக்ஷம், வக்ரபுஷ்பம் என்றும் அழைப்பார்கள். வானத்தில் அகத்திய முனிவரின் நக்ஷத்திரம் தோன்றும் நேரம் அகத்திக்கீரையும் பூ பூப்பதால் இதற்கு அகத்திக்கீரை என்ற பெயர் வந்தது. வெள்ளிக்கிழமை கோ மாதா பூஜை செய்வதால் கண் திருஷ்டி, தீயசக்திகள் போன்றவை வீட்டை அண்டாது. செவ்வாய் கிழமை கோ மாதா பூஜை செய்வதால் வீட்டில் நடக்க வேண்டிய சுபகாரியங்கள் தடை ஏதுமின்றி நிறைவேறும். பௌர்ணமியன்று கோ மாதா பூஜை செய்வதால் மகாலக்ஷ்மியின் ஆசியும், அருளும் கிடைக்கும். பசுவை தானமாக கொடுத்தால் புத்திர பாக்கியம் உண்டாகும், உயிருக்கு போராடிக் கொண்டிருப்பவர் அந்த பிரச்னையில் இருந்து மீள்வார்கள், தொழிலில் முன்னேற்றம் ஏற்படும், தீராத நோய் தீரும். Worshipping the place where the cow is located from the side gives more benefits. Emadudharas and Emans, which are invisible to ordinary people, are visible to the eyes of the cow. That is why the cow makes a lot of noise when someone is about to die. Agathikira is also called Muni Vriksha and Vakrapushpa.
