Other important Festivals and Days are :Makam every month,Karthika in Vrichikam, Navarathri and Dhwaja Prathishta in Mithunam Special Poojas On the day of Ayilyam , a special Chatushatham ( Payasam )offering is offered to the Goddess during the midday puja . This offering is a divine medicine that curesall diseases . Hundreds of devotees come to the temple to buy it as prasad andeat it . On the day of Ayilyam , after the night prayers , theceremony called Ariyeru is held at eleven o'clock . The Panakkars areconsidered the soldiers of the Goddess . Ariyeru is a special ritual performedby them , wearing red silk , under the guidance of the Kottiyattu Ilayathi andthe leader of the army , Mundakkal Panikkar . The weapons training and weaponpoojas given to the soldiers before the great battle waged by BhadrakaliArayankavilamma tokill Daruka are performed here . The battle site is also purified .After this, the Goddess is welcomed by the women with Thalapoli accompanied bythe soldiers . On Makam day , the beautiful divine form of Arayankavilamma ,wielding various weapons in all sixteen hands , is specially inscribed as aKalam in the large temple of the temple . Early in the morning, the Goddess isbrought to the Kalam with a welcome of shouts and shouts . Five pujas areperformed in this Kalam that day .
