Poojas

There are severalpoojas in the temple. However, the experience post the
Aikamatya Pushpanjali(pooja) was interesting. Thispooja was said to bring
married couples closer. I understood itotherwise by taking it to be a pooja (
prayer ) which will bring estrangedcouples together. But they told me that it
makes even the intimate couples evencloser. Therefore we booked for that pooja
and Bhagavathy gave me a wonderfulexperience. A lot of marriages takes place in
this temple on account of this.

The Chatti Pooja is saidto be very famous here. Food is offered in either 8 or
16 or 21 or 51 or 101pots to Bhagavathy.Thereafter one out of eight pots is
offered to the Jaladurga in the pondadjacent to the Temple. Thedeity is present
as Jaladurga in the morning and Vanadurga in the evening hours. It was sight to
see the priest throwing the pots of rice into the pond. It waskind of a discus
throw. Chattisare kept in the temple itself.

The Temple authorities gives the seven chatties to thedevotees. They can
consume or give part to others. The IKYAMATHYA PUSHPANJALI isalso conducted in
the temple. For those who cannot come in person, convenienceof online booking
