SUCCESS (AND)(IN) REALITY
Success, viewed realistically, is about aligning actions with goals and
embracing the journey, not just the destination, with a focus on personal
growth and fulfillment rather than solely external achievements.
Here's a more detailed look at success and reality:
Defining Success:
Success is often seen as achieving a desired outcome or goal, but its
meaning can be subjective and vary greatly depending on individual values
and priorities.
The Reality of Success:
It's a Process, Not a Destination: The journey towards success is often
more important than the final destination, with the focus on continuous
learning, growth, and adaptation.
It Requires Effort and Perseverance: Success rarely comes easily, and it
often involves overcoming challenges, setbacks, and making sacrifices.
It's About Alignment: Successful people often have a clear understanding of
their values and goals, and they align their actions with these principles.
It's Not Always About External Validation: True success can be found in
personal fulfillment and making a positive impact, regardless of external
recognition.
It's a Continuous Journey: Success is not a static state but rather an
ongoing process of growth and striving for excellence.
The Importance of Reality Check:
Be Grounded: It's crucial to have a realistic understanding of your
strengths, weaknesses, and the challenges you face.
Don't Be Afraid to Fail: Failure is an inevitable part of the journey, and
it can be a valuable learning experience.
Set Realistic Expectations: Avoid setting goals that are unattainable or
unrealistic, as this can lead to frustration and discouragement.
Focus on What You Can Control: Instead of worrying about things outside of
your influence, focus on the actions you can take to achieve your goals.
Examples of Successful People:
Warren Buffet: "The difference between successful people and very
successful people is that very successful people say no to almost
everything."
Ray Dalio: "People who achieve success and drive progress deeply understand
the cause-effect relationships that govern reality and have principles for
using them to get what they want." {Dreams + Reality + Determination = A
Successful Life.=Ray dalio Principle}
If Success was a definite reality then I believe there should
have been a particular defined outcome for it, isn’t it? there should have
been universally accepted criteria of what is success or who is successful
and steps of how to achieve it, but that is not the case… Everyone has
their own version of what success means to them and with time the version
keeps changing.
“Success is what you create in your mind”
In today’s world, the word SUCCESS is beautifully and subtly marketed to us
every single day, through books, talks, social media, society, televisions,
radio .. avenues are endless in fact at every turn you will find a new
definition and criteria for success. For some, success is a certain amount
of money while for others it is fame and publicity or coming on a magazine
cover, for some it is all about contribution and touching lives and not to
forget the category of people who measure their success only by comparison
– He has 1 mil followers – I have 2 mil, he has Tata Inovva I have BMW …
lol .. we all know there are people like that… )
Definition of success has been skewed so much towards fame and money that
everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon of wanting success without even
thinking why they want it. People read books after books looking to be how
to be successful when really they have no clue what success means to them….
they adopt the definition of others and of the society just so that they
can avoid the pain of thinking what success means to them.
I’m not here to advocate what success should mean to you or not because it
is different for everyone and we all know that, I’m here only to ask you to
open your mind and get past this smoke screen and ask your true inner self
.. what is my definition of success? not how media or society defines
success but how my soul & mind defines it.
Like perfection is different for different people and is an illusion
created by media and outside world similarly, Images that most of the
people relate to the word success is also an illusion created by
stereotyping and creating a persona of how successful person should look,
what they should have, what they should do, so on and so forth.
I’m not saying one should not set goals or want more from life.. but being
successful can never be an end goal it can only be a feeling of
accomplishment you will feel for few minutes once you have reached your
goal, A goal that you have set for yourself that is aligned with your soul
& your spirit it is not reaching a goal post that other people have set for
you or running behind a persona that has been created about successful
people…. because honestly these persona’s actually just shown 1% of their
true lives.
Steve job who is considered as one of the most success
sful people in the world wrote in this last letter
“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes,
my life is an epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little
joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. The
wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is
only the memories precipitated by love.”
BHAGAVAT GITA ON SUCCESS TEXTS 13-14 CHAP18

O mighty-armed Arjuna, learn from Me of the five factors which bring about
the accomplishment of all SUCCESS- action. These are declared in sankhya
philosophy to be the place of action, the performer, the senses, the
endeavor, and ultimately the Super soul. The instruments of action are the
senses, and by senses the soul acts in various ways, and for each and every
action there is a different endeavor. But all one's activities depend on
the will of the Super soul, who is seated within the heart as a friend. The
Supreme Lord is the super cause. Under these circumstances, he who is
acting in Krsna consciousness under the direction of the Super soul
situated within the heart is naturally not bound by any activity. Those in
complete Krsna consciousness are not ultimately responsible for their
actions. Everything is dependent on the supreme will, the Super soul, the
Supreme Personality of Godhead. REAL SUCCESS IS “ACTION IN INACTION AND
INACTION IN ACTION”
