While the truly needy like the elderly, destitute, young orphans,
handicapped etc deserve free schemes, extending it to all will prove
ruinous to all of us in the long run.

We don't have an " Akshaya Patra" and have to equip the folks with some
sort of vocational training so they earn for themselves.

Rajaji's vocational training scheme was dubbed " Kula kalvi thittam" by the
DMK and was forced to be abandoned, making everyone a beggar.

This is not a Joke - in the lighter vein. It is a reality.
In Tamil Nadu, small towns and villages, the local youth don't work.
They spend all day in TASMAC, or movie houses or play in the streets.
People from Bihar and Nepal (called Paanipoorivalas) do all the work. They
don't get these benefits and so will work. These local guys get the work
for electing the political leaders and get pain out of the tax money.
