While the truly needy like the elderly, destitute, young orphans, handicapped etc deserve free schemes, extending it to all will prove ruinous to all of us in the long run. We don't have an " Akshaya Patra" and have to equip the folks with some sort of vocational training so they earn for themselves. Rajaji's vocational training scheme was dubbed " Kula kalvi thittam" by the DMK and was forced to be abandoned, making everyone a beggar.
