I read the last line and I am forced to respond.
Yes- I was taken to the temple by Mr Rajaram. As per the current procedures in
the temple, he had to fill up the form, remit the money and stay in the
previous night itself along with me.
In the hurry, in the location name of the devotee, he wrote Rajaram
Krishnamurthy.Name of the person attending on the devotee-R. Gopalakrishnan
The procedures followed, in the anakottil all were assembled. The assistant
priest called the names. The third name was Mr Rajaram Krishnamurthy. He
resisted telling he was the attender, and Myself was the devotee. The priests
could makeup who was attender and devotee from his behavior. They showed him
the application filled. Chief priest ordered- It is common the devotees
resisting telling they are assistants in the temple.
Some force made Mr Rajaram silent and he drank the theertham. I was following
him as assistant. Since I could not cope up with his speed, in the 2nd round Mr
Sharma joined as assistant. He could better control Mr Rajaram.
All other devotees completed 2nd round , vomited the poisonous item, washed
feet and face and took payasam, and started moving to home.
But Mr Rajaram still continued 3rd round and finally vomited a small wooden
piece in the shape of a person along with some food item, badly smelling in the
5th round. Finally, he was made to wash face and the priests waiting for him
gave a small quantity of payasam left out.
Mr Rajaram told me - he felt relief, that piece of item might be compelling him
to write bad about others.All these things were witnessed by Mr Narayanaswamy
along with me. A sudden voice heard Thadasthu

People who have mental issues are brought to the temple in the previous night
itself. Then after the evening worship of the temple they attend the saffron
(kuruthi) worship to the “Bhootha kala Yakshi” which is outside the temple.
Then next day the treatment described above will be done at 9 Am. Most of them
become absolutely all right.
AND THAT MADMAN IS WHO WROTE AS GOPALAKRISHNAN ; A SATIRE EXCELLENT THE
GREAT MADMAN GOPALAKRISHNAN AND NARAYANASAMY AND ANOTHER NEED TO GO TO THAT
TEMPLE (if anyone guesses this is the same as Narayanasamy wrote and
Gopalkrishnan commented as satire -I am not responsible for their thinking!!)

1 Introduction
Thiruvizha temple is situated 40 km away from Ernakulam onthe Ernakulam
–Cherthalai road. There is a Shiva temple which is consecrated ina pit where
water keeps on ebbing. It is believed that people who are mental problemsor
people who have been under the control evil effects set on them by
blackmagicians get cured at this temple. The famous Nadaswara Vidhwan,
ThiruvizhaJaya Shankar hails from this place.
2Legend
There was a very dense forest in this area belonging toarakkal panikkars. There
was a pond in the forest which had lot of tortoises. Agroup of hunters called
Ulladaas used to catch these tortoises for theirliving. They would introduce a
long sharp staff in to the pond and keep onhitting. Then the injured tortoises
would come up. Then they would catch them.
Once when a lady oftheir tribe was doing it, suddenly she saw blood ebbing out
of the pond. Theentire pond became the colour of the blood. Then they started
pumping out thewater of the pond. After threefull days of removing the water,
they saw a stone in the bottom of the pondfrom which the blood was oozing out.
On the fourth day, a great sage came and applied sacred ashon the wound. The
blood immediately stopped. He told the people there to builda temple over the
pond without removing the stone from that place. They filledup the pond,
partially by sand. Even today, we can see the Linga only at thebottom of the
pond, where water would be constantly oozing out.
In rainy season, the idol will be covered by water and wewould not be able to
see it. So in rainy season the pooja is performed only tothe Uthsava moorthi.
3 History
Immediately after the temple was built a mad man belonging tothe Thalakkatt
family ofnairs used to daily visit this temple. The devotees were afraid of
himand prayed to the Lord to cure him. That day, one nair was instructed in

4 Holy leaves
The right to bring the holy medicinal leaves is forever withThalakkat family,
to which the original mad man belonged.
There is a custom of worshipping lord Shiva by abhisheka(anointing) of tender
coconut water and milk, The abhisheka(ceremonialdrenching) with milk for 1001
times is special to this temple.
5 KanichukulangaraDevi.
It is believed that the Goddess in Kanichukulangara temple inthe neighborhood
of this temple is the daughter of Lord Shiva. So everyday noonthe Goddess is
brought to this temple for an offering of Payasam along with herfather
6 Opening time
The temple opens at 5 AM immediately there is Abhisheka and the god is adorned
withsacred ash and sandalwood paste. Immediately puffed rice (Pori) is offered
tothe god. At 8.15 Am,Pandeeradi pooja is done and later the medicinal milk is
distributed to thepatients.
At 11 am, Payasam is offered to Lord Vishnu who is having atemple in this
complex itself. This also is given to the patients after theyvomit the milk
taken by them.
7 Temple festival
In March April, there is Arattu festival in this temple.There is a festival in
the month of Dhanu (Margazhi-November –December), whichlasts for ten days.
8 Present procedures.
One has to book early for the treatment in the temple and oneday before the
allotted day , thementally affected has to come with an assistant. They have to
sign a declaration, they areagreeing to the treatment procedure there and the
temple is not responsibleif any worse consequence happens.
They have to stay in the room provided and eat only the foodprovided from the
temple. Morning after bath they have to worship in thetemple, remain without
taking any food items other than water.
After the morning pooja by about 8.15 AM, the medicinal waterwill be brought.
The devotes names willbe called, they have to sit in a row in the Aanakottil.
After prayers,medicinal water will be supplied in the small vessels from the
temple. The devotes have to drink and perform circumambulation in thetemple
with assistant in the outer prakaraam. Water will be kept in different
locations andwill be given to them, if required.
Mostly on the 2nd or third round , the poisonousitem will come with the vomit
as a block. Then they can wash the mouth, drinkwater, finish circumambulation
and afterprayer and drinking payasam orasadam leavethe temple, and only
vegetarian food on that day. No alcohol and no sex on thatday.
Daily about 20 persons are called for curing as per booking. Thefees for stay,
medicine etc. are Rs 500-00 now. Though so much of vomiting inthe sand
compound, no foul smell in the temple premises.

Only one God shiva temple where one can kaivisyam remove frombody.It is also
known as kaivisyam vomitting temple.
U can stay in temple. Everyone have to reach temple by before5:00pm. There they
charge 300rs for 2persons stay in temple room. They charge500 per head for
remove kaivisyam.
Compulsory you have to take one member from your family withyou. Otherwise you
can’t join in kaivisyam removal Pooja.
Reach before 5'0pm evening, take ticket, take bath before6'10pm and get ready
to joinin evening Pooja as well as guruti Pooja, after pooja night free
mealsfor all, stay night and wake up early as 5'0 morning and take bath but,
shouldnot drink one drop of water,(means no brushing) only bath and attend
morningpooja, they give milk (mix of some ayurvedic powder) drink milk and walk
insand around the temple with OM NAMAH SHIVAYA mantra, after sometime they
givewater to drink, drink more water and do more vomitting, completed vomitting
andhave payasam as prasada.
After completing everything come back to home. But don't eatnon veg, don't have
sex and don’t have drinks for one week.If you follow everything100% result.
