CULTURAL QA 04202405
Q1 Do you know a joke about getting into heaven?
KR If we try and question 5 “W”s, we will learn a lot; telling the
west concept is not bad ; it can also be; because our children are mislead
by grand and parents to think, Indians have nothing as the west; so who is
at wit’s end?; we have to leave and show what is our root so that we create
in them a desire to know more; but we easily wake up, write from web easily
available stuff as peter etc and go to sleep; instead if only we even
substitute Indian names at least, posterity will believe we have something.
The same story is available in many formats in India and one such is: ( I
wrote about the story long time back; and had it been read we would have
become wise)
There was a prostitute and a bhakthan Brahmin in the opposite
homes; Bhakthan daily will see the customers getting in and out and curse
her; he will do puja and intertwined his mind also with her activities; the
pro worshipped god repenting for her inability to earn otherwise and prayed
for condoning her guilt; both died on the same day; and at the gates
Brahmin was directed to Narakam and the Pro to swargam; Brahmin started the
argument as to how she can be?; the gate keeper said: while she was in the
bad sector her mind was only with the GOD while the brahmin even while in
puja could not lift his mind off her profession; the best goes to swarga
and as the account is minus, brahmin goes to hell.
Q3 What is something that you will never do?
KR The taking care of parent anecdotes are aplenty in the web sites,
written by those who do not do it. Life is short or long as one considers
it within his happy or sad mind. Children should happily live a standard
life in Canada in minus 30 degrees; yet if he calls the aged parents to
take care of them, will not budge; still son has to care from a distance or
resign and come and suffer in India. So, love is not only when all are
together; even the classmate whom you had not seen for 40 years, when met,
forget their age and keep conversing even only for that day. So, care
depends on various factors. Grown up shall know the pain of growing so that
the uprooting must pave the way for the growth which is veda rules
-VANPRSTHA WHERE SON AND DAUGHTER DO NOT ACCOMPANY AND THE DATE OF DEATH OF
PARENT IS UNKNOWN. Of course in a family living together if the children
insult the parent that character alone is condemnable.
Q4 What made you upset today?
G What upsets, Judging people on their looks, age, status, race,
leaving all kindness towards others, behind.
KR A business and life have two different ends; if you give it
as charity a business man will be only made fun of later. Later when he is
in the status of that woman. So, there is nothing wrong in the Swa dharma
of the businessman. There was a charity maker there also. Even in
deivathin kural we read that Mutt did not contribute directly; but waited
for the arrival of the donor to lend to the Donee. There is no equality at
all; that is the truth; even though Krishna is a friend, Arjuna called HIM
only with respect. We have to treat all as equal; but others must behave.
So hypocrisy of judging people etc is a common factor.
Q5 What are some interesting facts about India?
A5 Anand Singh, Software Engineer Updated 7y G There are some
facts, which most of Indians are not aware of-
KR One may say it but can anyone presume only the writer knows?
Every manufacturer label has a backdrop; a villager who does not wear
Peter England may not know and he is also not going to read this; so, ask a
question; why should one know about things unwanted for him? Does Anand and
Mr G know anything about cultivation? Why should one know how Christmas
carol is? Of course, knowledge is fine; but not knowing is not a crime; one
who knows he knows is a learned means what one is supposed to know and in
case of need encyclopaedia is there. K Rajaram IRS 5424
