Q1 Does milkincrease or decrease testosterone levels?
A1 MunyaradziChakweva. Jr, Medical Student & Philanthropist Updated Oct 19
Testosterone is an importanthormone in both men and women, and its levels can
have a large impact onphysical and mental health. While many people believe
certain foods, such asred meat, can increase testosterone levels, it’s actually
not as simple as that. The truth is, the effects of food on testosterone levels
can vary greatlydepending on the individual.
One food that has been studied in relation totestosterone levels is milk. Milk
is high in calcium and other vitamins andminerals that can play a role in
hormone balance. While some studies have foundthat drinking milk can increase
testosterone levels in men, others have foundthe opposite to be true.
So, does milk increase or decrease testosteronelevels? Unfortunately, there is
no simple answer. While some people mayexperience an increase in testosterone
when they drink milk, others may not.The evidence is inconclusive, so it’s best
to consume milk in moderation.
In addition to milk, whole grains, lean meats, nuts, and legumes can all be
beneficial for maintaining healthy testosterone levels.Exercise is also
important, as it helps your body produce more of this hormone.
I read it and I genuinely believe that it can be avaluable resource offering
practical information which can help boost yourtestosterone levels effectively.
Hence I am also leaving it here for those thatmight need it. Good luck
To conclude, there is no single food that canguarantee an increase in
testosterone levels. It’s important to make sureyou’re getting enough
nutritious food in your diet and staying active in orderto maintain optimal
levels of this hormone. If you’re concerned about yourtestosterone levels, it’s
best to speak to a healthcare professional todetermine the best course of action
My note- Googlesearch result:-!)In women, testosterone is produced in various
locations. One quarter of the hormone isproduced in the ovary, a quarter is
produced in the adrenal gland, and one halfis produced in the peripheral
tissues from the various precursors produced in theovaries and adrenal gland.
2 Women also have testosterone. The ovaries produce both testosterone and
estrogen. Relativelysmall quantities of testosterone are released into your
bloodstream by theovaries and adrenal glands. In addition to being produced by
the ovaries, estrogen is also produced by the body's fat tissue.4 May 2022
3 Estrogen is a sex hormone found in both males and females, although females
have higherestrogen levels than males do. The ovaries, testes, fat cells, and
adrenalglands produce estrogen. It is important for female puberty and
controlling themenstrual cycle. Estrogen is also important for the male
reproductive system.9Nov 2020
I have added the google search result for the reason,it is a general thinking
that estrogen is the female hormone and testosterone ismale hormone. But small
quantity testosterone is produced in women and estrogenin men.

Q3 What was yourmost 'jaw dropping' incident in a restaurant?
A3 VijayaLakshmi, Knows about most of the Indian foods. Updated 4y
Many years back we were going on a long distance cardrive. I think we were
going from Visakhapatnam to Araku Valley.
We left the house early in the morning and decided tohave breakfast on our way
to Araku.
Around 8.30 in the morning we reached one village (Idon’t remember the name).
There we saw a decent and clean restaurant.
They were having many breakfast items in therestaurant. We decided to eat idlis
as they would be good while travelling.
Beside our table sat a group of 5–6 young boysbetween 18–22 years age. When we
entered the restaurant we saw all of them cheering a boywho was very thin. He
was almost skinny. They were literally shouting athigh pitch.
The waiter brought our plates along with theirs too.For them 5–6 plates idlis.
For non Indians these are idlis.(Steamed salty cakesmade with black gram and
rice batter. They are eaten with a stew made withlentils and vegetables, which
is called sambar)
Before wecould finish half of our plate the thin boy finished his entire plate
with 4 gulps and drank theremaining samabar (the liquid in big bowl)
“Now what willyou eat?” one of the boys asked the thin boy.
“Masala Dosa.It takes some time for masala dosa to prepare. So meanwhile I
will eat vada”
“One masaladosa please! Meanwhile bring one plate vada” they placed the order.
This is vada: (Vadas are deep fried fritters madewith black gram batter as
shown in the picture. They are eaten with Sambarmentioned at #1)
He gulped those vadas within few minutes and waitedfor dosa. This is dosa:
(Dosa isIndian crepe made with batter of black gram and rice. It often wrapps
withboiled potatoes.
By the time we finished our idlis he finished thatdosa too. Throughout this
ritual, the other boys were cheering him and thewaiter was serving nonchalantly.
We ordered coffee and were waiting for it. Meanwhilethey ordered one plate
puri. This is puri:
(Puri is deepfried Indian bread, made with whole wheat dough. This is usually
accompanied byspiced boiled potatoes).
When the waiter arrived with our coffee husband askedhim in a low voice:
“What is going on here?”
“It is aneating challenge. They do it once in a month. We are used to it. If
he is ableto eat at least eight plates of breakfast, the others will pay him
some (betting)money”
“Does he always win?”
“Yes most of the times. Helost the challenge very few times”
By the time we finished our coffee he ate one plateupma and one plate pesarattu
(a dosa made with whole green gram):
This is upma: (Umpma is boiled wheat semolinatempered with onions green pepper
and other vegetables. Usually accompanied byspicy paste called chutney made
with coriander leaves)
This is pesarattu:(Pesarattu is another pan cake madewith green gram batter.
This is often accompanied by Samabar and onion chutney)
The challenge was interesting but we felt that itwill rude sitting there and
watching them after we finished our breakfast.
So we got up to go. “Uncle aunty, don’t go. Let thiseating challenge get
finished. It will be interesting” some boys said.
We sat back and started to watch. “I have finished six items.Idli, vada, dosa,
puri, upma and pesarattu. Only two items are left” saidthe thin boy.
“No, upma andpesarattu are always eaten together. So they are considered a
single item”
“I don’tagree. I have ordered them separately. So they are different items”
the thinboy said.
“No! No!”shouted others.
“Uncle you arethe judge. Please tell whether they are a single item or two
separate items” they made my husband a judge.
“Though wealways eat them together, he ordered them separately. So they are
different items. Moreover, upmaalong with pesarattu will be only half of that
quantity”
“Ok, we agree. Now two more items are left” all the other boys shouted.
“What sweetsdo you have?” the boy asked the waiter.
“ Mysorepak, kobbari laddu(coconut sweet) and boondi laddu (another sweet)” the
waiter said.
“Ok, bring meone plate mysorepak and one plate kobbari laddu”
This is mysorepak (but there was only one piece inthe plate):
(Mysorepak isa crunchy Indian sweet, made with chick pea flour, sugar and
clarified butter)
This is kobbari laddu (there was one piece in theplate):
(Kobbari ladduis an Indian sweet made with coconut scraping, sugar and dry
fruits)
“Ahhhaaa” the thin boy shoutedloudly after finishing both the sweets.
That was not only jaw a dropping moment but anextremely envious moment for me.
I just wondered how could someone be so slimafter eating so much!
We came out of the restaurant our jaws still dropped!
My note- There was a middle aged class IV staff somewhat thin while I was
workingin RTTC Trivandrum. The canteen staff used to be harsh to him and he was
servedmeals after all others finished, keeping some quantity for them and
served theremaining to him. Still he felt hungry after finishing meals. It is a
disease, lack of production of certain enzymes.
Q4 What isworld's Best story?
A4 ShivanshKhansali, Assistant Manager at Indian Oil Corporation Limited
(IOCL)(2019–present)Dec 10
Once, there was an old farmer who worked his land formany years. One day, his
horse ran away, and the neighbors thought it was badluck. "Maybe," said the
farmer.
The next day, the horse came back with four more wildhorses. The neighbors were
excited, but the farmer just said,"Maybe."
The following day, his son tried to ride one of thewild horses, fell, and broke
his leg. The neighbors were sorry for his misfortune."Maybe," replied the
farmer.
The day after, army officials came to draft youngmen, but theyskipped the
farmer's son because of his broken leg. The neighborspraised the farmer for his
luck.
"Maybe," said the farmer.
The moral is that things may not be as good or bad asthey seem. Learn to accept
life as it comes.
