Hey guys, I was just wondering if you have any plans for Facebook Chat integration after their API 1.0 is deprecated in April 2015[1], which will effectively kill Facebook Chat in 3rd party apps like Telepathy.
In KDE we had this idea of writing a special connection manager and talking to Facebook's Messages API directly, however since the introduction of v2.0 of the API, there is no way to retrieve a full Facebook friends list; it will return only other people also using the same app[2], which makes it pretty much useless. Are there any upstream plans for Facebook Chat?
