Hello again! In the pursuit of trying to use Empathy instead of Pidgin, I've hit a few roadblocks. I'm not yet submitting bug reports because I usually can't trigger the bug from scratch.
One thing which would be very useful to know, however, would be to reset the Empathy state. For example, I've triggered some sort of bug in GTalk and MSN accounts are shown as being online (but no contacks shown) but mc-tool reports them offline. I've also found the opposite situation, in which I'd see everyone online but I was --- I think -- offline. So I've decided to run these everytime I want to return to a "clean state": killall /usr/libexec/telepathy-gabble /usr/libexec/telepathy-haze /usr/libexec/telepathy-idle /usr/libexec/telepathy-logger /usr/libexec/telepathy-salut killall /usr/libexec/empathy-auth-client /usr/libexec/empathy-call /usr/libexec/empathy-chat killall /usr/bin/empathy-accounts /usr/bin/empathy killall /usr/bin/empathy /usr/bin/empathy-accounts /usr/bin/empathy-debugger killall /usr/libexec/mission-control-5 ; /usr/libexec/mission-control-5 I've found out this last line is the most important, otherwise it'd seem some accounts wouldn't be able to work properly; I'm guessing multiple MC would be spawned and something would be only half-working. So, I'd like the opinion on the effectiveness of the lines above, share the "script" and also ask if it would be wise to add killall /usr/libexec/imsettings-daemon /usr/libexec/goa-daemon to the lines above. Thank you in advance :) -- Pedro _______________________________________________ telepathy mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/telepathy
