Hi All,
I implemented an "echo bot" as a server component (with ejabberd)
using the code given in
http://metajack.im/2008/10/09/echo-bot-part-two-making-a-component/.
I'm able to connect to it and receive the echoed messages when I use
Gajim. However, when I use Empathy, I'm unable to connect to it (nothing
happens). Why is that?
Does its JID have a node part (i.e. "[email protected]") or is it just a
domain part (i.e. "example.com")?
I assume the latter. Gabble (the XMPP backend for Telepathy used by
Empathy) doesn't support receiving or sending messages to JIDs without a
node part.
