Hello, I'll throw in my experiences, using an AC 9260, on a Dell Inspiron 5585
(dmesg at the bottom).
Transmit speeds from my machine over the wireless are much more reliable,
I previously have had uploads stall over my wireless, particularly, I
would see tcpbench to anotehr machine report 0kbps for a few seconds,
then climb
back up. With this patch, that is no longer an issue, speeds remain consistent.
With my link quality floating around 70% while testing against a UAP-AC-IW,
tcpbench running to a server on ethernet for a good 11.5 minutes:

bandwidth min/avg/max/std-dev = 10.460/26.698/32.632/5.472 Mbps
Another thing I'm noticing is much less packet loss, previously I would
consistently see packet loss at every hop on mtr while using wireless.
That is no longer the case, I just see the usual loss from routers
being too busy to deal with my icmp, etc.
