As someone who often reads perl documentation I'll mention my opinion.

I personally use `perldoc` and not `man` due to that working on the
different platforms where I use perl, so I don't mind it moving to the
end at all.  I also find that pod2man (or pod2mdoc or whatever it uses)
isn't particularly good, so the quality I get for perl documentation
from `perldoc` is better than from `man`.  (yet another project I don't
have time for).

I think that the OpenBSD re(4) is probably what more people would expect
when they ask for `man re`, not perl docs.
