Examples should cover either "slightly non-obvious but powerful" usage cases that are not entirely expected, and thus lead people to seeing the power of the command. An example of this is the EXAMPLES in the mv page; they handle the tricky cases. fw_update is not a tricky command. Your first example was only second order usage (first order is: fw_update). In this case you did spot that the inverse operation is missing, and that should be added.
