Hello Tango Artists,

I am Tzokin Corp's primary developer for a new website, and I wanted to put a
request for help to you in the form of an offer.
We are deploying a new website in the coming months and are hastily finishing
the back-end API and E-commerce areas for a soft launch in April. Being a
company of (primarily) coders and technicians we are somewhat lacking in design
skills (though not in appreciation nor comprehension of the need for good
design - I for instance am a mere php scripting guru.)

Your team's project came my way from a friend I talked with about developing a
design language for DNS but who couldn't spare the time from his new position
to help, and to us, the idea of a general symbol library for DNS & High
Availability concepts and actions is intimidating.

There is an up-hill struggle trying to explain these techniques and
technologies even though a common action set exists and that the domain name
system is all-pervasive. Our hope is that if, by some miracle, DDNS, DNS and
the like were made visually comprehensible, that there would come and
accompanying enlightenment in their understanding (just as with folders, files,
directories and devices etc.)

So we would like to ask if you would assist in developing a symbol set for
DDNS. (That would read dynamic-dns for those of you who are unfamiliar with the
term.) It would be open-source, GPL, and freely available to any who'd benefit,
just as the tango desktop project requires. We would sponsor it's development
by offering contributors TZO (and/or TZO-HA) services and by demystifying the
concepts.

Everyone here loves both the standards concepts you employ and the look you all
create - so our hardware department tells me there are additionally a number of
IBM P4 e-servers available, which may be able to find their way to anyone
wanting to take one home and I can imagine other sponsorship options if we open
discussion around this idea.

I sincerely hope we do! Because I (we) dig what you're all doing.

Current TZO-DNS information lives at http://www.tzo.com, and TZO-HA is at
http://www.autofailover.com. If anybody wants to take a shot at iconizing these
technologies, please get in touch!
Thanks,

And yes, anything you see on the sites that you'd like to have for Tango's
domain or your personal development systems just ask.

(Tzolkin maintains dynamic-DNS and H.A. hosting products among others, which
you can find in home routers, web cams, servers and more, as well as
autofailover services and geo-load balancing products beyond that.) Just to be
clear, it isn't a rebranding or image makeover we're asking for but a
collaboration towards a design language (sic. visual language) to create icons
for non-proprietary concepts, terms, names and systems.
