Hi.
You can get the right battery from amazon. Try to get the Nokia battery or Duracell aftermarket if they happen to have one for n86. A lot of your options from other companies may claim better, and have better numbers, but when you get them they won't perform as well, let alone better. The battery that comes with the N86 is 1200M/A, i you look around till you find out what the model is for that battery, it'll be a number like bl4k, you should be able to hopefully use any battery that has that same number, but as I said, you should buy from Nokia or probably Duracell to be sure you're not getting something worse, even if other companies may claim better. I tried buying a 1500M/A battery for my e5 that came with a 1200M/A battery, and the 1500M/A battery I got looks nice, but is no better. In fact it's sort of worse. It's kind of strange in that it runs for a lot less time then the orriginal still does until it gets to 1 bar of battery yes 1, then it will run on 1 bar for a long time. Lol. By long time I mean about the same amount of time as it took to go from 7 bars to 1. Haha. You are supposed to condition the new battery you get, fully charge and fully discharge it repeatedly a few times in a row, but that didn't help this battery here. I think I did it 5 times. My e5 has another problem where it randomly reboots or shuts off when it gets slightly warm and I mean slightly. I've put it in the freezer for a few minutes before and managed to work it hard for some time after, but once it gets warm, it'll quit doing absolutely nothing. One day it was in the 80's f outside and I was outside helping load cement blocks on the tractor and I got a text message. That's a shock anyway because we have no signal out here, but when I pulled the phone out of my pocket and hit a button to unlock it, I got the beep, then nothing happened any more until I held down the power button for the normal 2 seconds and it vibrated. Lol. I read on the internet that other people with e5's have this problem, that's where I got the freezer idea. So now I have an e72, and I can run this phone hard and it never does anything silly. I don't think it has ever rebooted on me, knock on noggen, since I got it 3 months ago. Pitty they don't make the e72 any more, brilliant phone that is. Had a hard time finding one. This one is Amithyst color. Lol I had to have people look at pictures of it that I brought up on the internet to make sure it wouldn't look too girly for me. Haha. Couldn't get a normal colored one but they say this one is actually really nice to look at. I still haven't put the latest firmware on it. I had to use Nokia Suite yeah Nokia Suite, not Ovi Suite or Nokia PC Suite, or not even Nokia Software Updator, to put the last update that I got for my E5 onto, well, my e5. Totally inaccessible. I was told by other blind people that Nokia Software Updator should have worked. Should I try it with the E72 firmware update do you all think? And do you think I need the update? Any idea what the advantages are for us, and if it breaks anything? I have the same firmware on my e5, same number, 081.004, but I don't know if the one on the e72 is any different than the one on the e5. Also since I'm rambling on anyway, has anyone else seen phones do the spontaneous restarting or shutting off thing? Sometimes it'll come back up on it's own. Other times I'll have to hold down the end key for two seconds, or maybe 3, the same amount of time it takes to start it up when it's not running, not the amount of time it takes to make it reboot if it's already running. Not really a big deal now since I've replaced my e5 already, but just wondering. I accidentally dropped my e5 in a mud hole once, I'm thinking that might have eventually resulted in this problem. When it happened I immediately took the battery out without pressing any buttons or doing absolutely anything to control the phone to do anything, just picked it up, popped the battery out. I left it out for 4 days and used my n86. When I put the battery back in it, it ran great for about 5 months, then started doing that rebooting or shutting off thing. I warm reset it, factory reset it, updated to 081.004 firmware, got that new battery, it stil does it and it's getting worse. Appologise for bad spelling. It's so late here I'm not going to bother spell checking just this once.

I am going to look for a battery for my n86. If I can not find a n86 battery are there other battery options I could purchase that would fit this phone?
