My goodness. I opened my email this morning to find a fire storm of
rediculousness. For heavens sake. All Eleanor did was raise a simple
question requiring a simple answer which Niell in fact did respond
to. What is all this other stuff. Calm down. It's no secret that
Talks generally comes out with at least two updates a year. That's
not breaking any dealer rules.

Dave take it easy, I was simply under the impression that there were
approximately 2 Talks releases a year, now I did not ask for date
and day either but reasonable to ask if one talks release a year or
2 talks releases. Surely that is not breaking a code of conduct.

Eleanor:
For your information and others on this list, who might not be
aware: Dealers who are resellers for most, if not all companies,
are subject to non-disclosure agreements, which bind them to
silence, as to privileged information, such as disclosing to the
public, information, as to the projected release date of a
companies latest product, in this case, Talks, produced by Nuance.
So, by disclosing such privileged information to anyone outside the
company, prior to a companies official public notice of an upcoming
release date for a product of their's, would be a briech of such an agreement.
And, should a company, in this case, Nuance, discover that a
dealer, had disclosed such privileged information, thereby
brieching the terms of such an agreement, could have their
dealership with the company terminated.

Subject: [Talks] Question for Neil Barnfather
Hi Neil
Good to see you back on list. On another list where the issue of
someone selling their phone from Vodafone and Talks from Vodafone,
I commented that Talks could not be sold with the phone and had my
head just about bitten off *smile*. Anyway can we possibly get an
official confirmation on this. You can send to me off list. the
person then informed me that they had contacted Vodafone and
Nuance in High Wickham I think it was but somewhere in the UK and
they were told all is well and they can sell on the Vodafone with
Talks that was put on by Vodafone. I then crawled away but would
love some clarification on this and who better to give it than
yourself *smile*.
