I have a similar issue regretably. My product is again Freedom Scientific
and the equipment is Focus Blue braille display. It is supposed to link up
via bluetooth but did for the following phones of mine N95, E72 and E72.
Sadly it stopped there. The braille device cost something in the region of
two thousand two hundred pounds. Now I have moved on to newer models of
phones and it does not work any more. I have brought this to the attention
of Freedom Scientific recently and indeed a year ago too but no joy!!! Now
we are talking about a device driver. Surely that cannot be a huge
development issue. I believe they just marketed the product at the time and
probably found it did not sell well so just left it. I had the Open
University purchase the product for me and now I have to somehow or other
establish if I have any comeback to purchase an item of equipment costing so
much money within very limited value. There was nothing to say at the time
that the software would not be developed further but the product was sold
saying that it worked with Talks software.

Gary Ray here. I have an Nokia N 86. I wanted to use the N 86 as a hot
spot. I bought Joykuspot and, indeed, it works like a charm.
Unfortunately, the device I wanted to hook up, PAC Mate Omni, will not
work
with the hot spot set up. Freedom Scientific produces the PM, but they
were
no help at all. I understand that other blind devices may work with the N
86 and Joykuspot.
It is kinda a crap shoot as to whether or not the set up you are
considering
will work. You pays your money and takes your choice.
I must note that the folks at Kurzweil tried to help me. I will also note
that Michael Hingson tried to help, too.

Hi, anyone still using this? I need to have net access and wonder if this
is
still the best way to go with my n86.
Thanks.
