Hi. If you want to assign individual tones to different people when they text you, the best thing to do is install, and purchase, an app called Magic Message Manager. There's a link to it in the Mobile Corner section on
www.blindsea.com or I think the developer's website is www.symbian-wave.com it's well worth buying and does far more than just different alerts for contacts. Hope that helps. Now thing is that you are right, however I am not sure how you get to the camera at present through Menu so maybe whatever you go in to get to camera you could set that as the shortcut key rather than you having to go down through all the menu items and then in to the camera application.
