It was known that this cycle would be a long one due to the major work related to sd-bus and kdbus. It's a pretty high-impact change. Even when 209 does come out it's probably not for the faint of heart! Lots of commits in the tree have been officially marked as backportable which distros can use to spruce up their v208 deployments. I would guess a 209 release is coming in the next month or two, but Kay and Lennart can likely comment more on that one.
