Hmm, so I am a bit concerned of adding a boundless list of options here over time, so I have now tried to make this a bit more generic, and added a note that people should check the initrd implementation used on their respective installation. I did keep the explicit reference to dracut in there, since in our eyes it does deserve special mention simply because it is the only implementaiton that integrates this closely with systemd, simply because it also runs systems inside of the initrd, and passes along journal data and so on. This way, this is similar as the text we have in daemon(7) where I describe the RPM scriplet snippets to use to enable services, but clarify that people should look up the respective counterparts for their own distributions.
