Nevertheless, if you look at /etc/init.d/net.lo for example on gentoo, its
simply a bash script with a whole lot of bash functions predefined by openrc.
I the only difference for me seems to be that openrc is calling the bash
function start() itself instead of letting init scripts parse the $1 argument...
I am currently writing a small wrapper script to replace runscript. I think
this should work for nearly alle init.d scripts.
