Right, this is complete nonsense, and an absolutely needless overhead, the same for the udev rules, which have more header than payload. There is nothing that can be copyrighted, or even placed under the GPL. Lennart has gone wild putting this all over the place. I keep slapping him this in the face, but he is too much in love with it, as it seems.
