Hi Claudiu,

I have a Shearwater Petrel and am looking forward to being able to test
your work at some stage. I can download dives fine on Linux and Windows
but find needing sudo to set up the connection annoying.

It's probably not the OSTC that requires a pin.
I played around (a lot) with connecting my Petrel, and found that whether I
need to enter a pin (0000) or not depends not on the dive computer but on
whether I'm using the onboard bluetooth (no pin required) or a dongle (some
ask for a pin, some assume the default).
